Founded in Philadelphia in 2000, the City Parks Alliance is a leading organization promoting the creation, revitalization and sustainability of urban parks and open spaces. Speedwell has worked with City Parks Alliance on Red Fields to Green Fields and several other initiatives, including:
Parks as Infrastructure
The Speedwell Foundation has partnered with the City Parks Alliance and Georgia Tech to fund a video series, City Parks: America’s New Infrastructure as well as ongoing research and reports on the economic benefits of parks and urban infrastructure.
Greater & Greener
The Speedwell Foundation is a sponsor of Greater & Greener 2022, a biennial conference of park practitioners to explore how urban parks can be developed and sustained to meet the needs of 21st century cities
